Here is some good news Mr Sameer Kathawat wishes to share with us all , Ranjeet Shetty 2009 passout SDMCET , joins IBM marketing team. He has beeb selected as a senior procurement specialist in IBM india To my knowledge, he is the 1st one to join through off-campus from computer science dept. 2009 passouts.one good thing is he was quite interested in taking marketing as his career goal from the beginning itself and now he is succeeded in that. its good hear.
SciLabs Workshop @ BVBCET, Hubli
On 24th of this month, 4 of us 5th sem CSE students, i.e. me Himanshu, Shashank Shekhar, Vivek Maskara and Rohit Kumar attended SCILABS workshop at BVBCET, Hubli. First let me give an intro of SCILABS. It’s open-source software which eases and fastens mathematical operations to a huge extent. From matrix operations, plotting of graphs, integration, differentiation, it does it all. Our ENC friends study MATLABS as their course subject which is proprietary source to do the same job. About the workshop, first we were a bit disappointed as the event was postponed by an hour without prior information. But, then it began well. All of those teaching us were 7th sem ENC students of the college. The participants ranged from KLESCET, Belgaum, our college, and BVB itself of course. A break in between with complementary snacks seemed relaxing. Then at the end, there was a small competition where 2 mathematical problems have to be solved using Scilabs, and we performed fair. 2 students from our college won the second place. All in all, it was a nice experience. I hope much more workshops of this kind will be held at our college too.

Hi sir,
I am sending below my experience of Intel.
I always wondered looking at the television commercial featuring Mr.Ajay Bhattwhen will I get a chance to get into his shhoes, trying and thinking the best I could to imaginethe ways I could get assocaiated with the name in the Microprocessor Industry.INTEL.... And then an opportunity came my way which changed my whole life,believe me it did... No points for gueesing but it is none other than the Intel Threading Champion 2009. Many might feel this to be like any other competition but what I experienced was the joy to eexpress, To express the odeas which one feels so silly about and are so many in number in ones "Think Tank". But believe me friends what we feel to be silly are the most impactful. So Threading Champion is the root cause which has chaneelized one such idea so beautifully, and what better could it be than a research paper. Yes, now I can proudly tell my friends doing their Masters that its not just you who are writing the thesis. Now I too have a research paper of my own. Thank you Intel and Threading Champion. I feel like a rockstar!!!
Now for the stats and details,
Over 1000 students had qualifiied the 1st round.
Out of the papers submitted 48 research papers were selected for final screening.
We bagged the second runner up prize.
The award ceremony was held at PESIT,Bangalore.
It was graced by Intel Principal Engineer,Head APAC and others.
Also VTU Registrar Prof. KVA Balaji was present.
Other distinguished personalities were Mr. Doreaswamy, Founder of PES Institutions etc

This is Prasanna Kulkarni ........ am very happy to tell that i got selected to NITK Surathkal MTech(CSE).......................finally..... there was also lot of competation actualy there was only 13 seats for GM students & 66 people were called for an intreview....... i did well in that ......
This time 45K people in CSE branch took the GATE................. where it was only 18K in 2008 GATE............... so last time the cutoff for IIT's was 600 all india rank. but this time it was 440......... I missed the IIT Kanpur By only 2 Marks........................
I had option in IIT Guwati......... But Our NITK is Better than those........... Our NITK is Top1 among all the NIT's...................
So plz inform this msg to our batch mates in your words...........................

executing the jar file of javafx project
Hello,
I have created a javaFx project,and after buidling it has created an executable jar in the \dist folder of the project.Now, i am trying to execute this jar by double clicking it. It is giving me an error 'Could not find the main class:game.main. Program will exit'I also tried to execute from command promt,but the error is the same.The path in the Manifest file is also correct.Please help
They did try in Sun Java Forum and yet to recieve a workable solution
Report on Chess Tournament : Kavitha Acharya
A team of our students recently represented our college in a university chess tournament. Here is a report by a team member.
I Loved chess from the start..my dad is ma first coach..the thing is that i didn't get chance to participate before..I don't care what happens I win or loose..I will always love this game. This was the first time SDM gals team had been to VTU chess tournament..but really it was worth going to VKIT and we finally achieved something..In fact we got confidence that we will definitely win or atleast get runner up trophy in the next tournament..n one more thing,i thank all ma friends who helped n taught many tactics to improve ma game, which really helped me to win..Gals team stood 5th position outta 24 teams n guys 15th position outta 58 teams..and i'm happy say that we stood first in belgaum zone..I won 4 outta 6 matches..All three days we use to play form morning 9 till evening 6 with only one hr gap which was really hectic..but must say it was wonderful experience to play with some of gud players of other college..
